Welcome to Otterhead Estate Nature Reserve

The Otterhead Estate is a nature reserve located on the border between Somerset and Devon, with lakes, a river, grasslands and woodland. It is open to the public free of charge. A Forest School operates on part of the site on weekdays during term times. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads.

Latest News

We are currently carrying out repairs to the main track and to the path in the House Meadow. The public will not be able to enter the path from the new bridge over the leat to the House Meadow while this is ongoing (expected completion by end March).

Work parties: Work parties currently take place on the first Saturday of the month (weather permitting).
