Friends of Otterhead

The site is managed as a nature reserve entirely by volunteers, but it is well loved by many visitors, so the Friends will offer the chance for people to get involved, contribute to projects and to have a say in the way that the estate is run.

As a Friend of Otterhead you will be entitled to:

  • Attend the Friends Of only events
  • Join the annual Friends Gathering
  • Contribute to estate management via the Friends’ Co-ordinator

If you would like to become a Friend of Otterhead and support our work, (cost £10 per person pa) please click here. Become a friend.

Help Needed

  • History Films
  • We are hoping to make some short films about the history of Otterhead through interviews with our local historian Roy Coombs. If you would like to either appear in the film as the interviewer or have some skills in producing and editing short films then please contact friendsofotterhead@gmail.com or one of the Otterhead Directors Nigel Griffiths nrsgriffiths@gmail.com and we can tell you more about the project.
  • Practical work
  • We are always looking for people to help with the work out on the reserve and we have monthly work parties - see the link below
